Mr. Garcia founded the Gateway Companies in 1978 specializing in commercial real estate development and general contracting. He is well versed in all phases of the development cycle including site selection, design, financing, and construction and has offered the community many efficiently planned business environments including his last development project, Gateway Office/Tech Park, a twelve building, 300,000 square foot office and flex space planned Business Park.

He joined the Codina Group in 1994 and became responsible for handling all aspects of commercial sales and leasing for the Beacon Centre, a 3.2 million square foot, 205-acre master planned, mixed-use business park and one of the premier corporate parks in the southeast United States. Subsequently, Mr. Garcia became responsible for Flagler Station Business Park; a 960-acre master planned Business Park. While there, he concluded over 8,880,000 square feet of transactions totaling $375 million on behalf of Flagler Development Co. and its parent company, Florida East Coast Industries. As Senior Vice President at Codina, Mr. Garcia was one of the top producers for the firm.

In April of 2005 Mr. Garcia returned full time to the Gateway Companies and founded Gateway Realty Services, LLC which specializes in tenant/buyer, landlord/seller representations, land sales, and in the placement of equity capital and disposition of real estate for institutions and corporations as well as the structuring of build-to-suit developments and joint venture participations. Mr. Garcia has concluded more than 1.8 billion dollars in sale and lease transactions.

He is a graduate of the University of Miami, a State Certified General Contractor, and a Licensed Real Estate Broker. Mr. Garcia’s commitment to the community and civic affairs is strong. He is active in various national and local professional organizations, including the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), Commercial Industrial Association of South Florida (CIASF), and the Realtors Commercial Alliance of Greater Miami & the Beaches (RAMB). He has received numerous industry achievement and project awards including NAIOP Broker of the Year, Project Sale of the Year, Office Lease of the Year, Industrial Lease of the Year, Sublease of the Year, Office Build-To-Suit of the Year, Industrial Build-To-Suit of the Year, Industrial/Commercial Development of the Year, New Development of the Year – Office, Codina Realty Broker of the Year and the CoStar Annual Power Broker Awards for both Office and Industrial leasing.

Mr. Garcia is a resident of Coral Gables, Florida, where he lives with his wife and their three children. He serves as a member of numerous Boards of Directors and is very active in the community.
